In Real Life: The Cloud
Sick me and sick babies today. Ugh it has been a rough couple months! But wanted to pop in quick to share about my new favorite beauty product. Made in small batches in British Columbia The Cloud face cream has been my go-to the entire Summer. I received it from Rodales (ummm btw if you haven't visited their ridiculously amazing treasure trove of ethical goodness you should do that now). I know the point of the "In Real Life" posts is that I feature things I purchase, not receive for free. However I'm sharing this here because as soon as I'm out I plan to buy another jar of this asap. It's that good. I have dry skin and this is deeply hydrating without being sticky or oily AT ALL. It absorbs right into the skin and leave a fresh glow. I enjoyed using this for travel (airplanes totally wreck your skin don't they?!). I also used this after a day where I'd gotten a little too much sun and it healed my skin overnight. The second best part of this cream is that you can read all the ingredients. Now that I have babies I care a little bit more about the products I'm using because inevitably through kisses and snuggles it all rubs off on the babies. I like knowing that this cream is as good for them as it is for me. It's free of alcohol, synthetic junk and GMO. The best part? The best part is the scent. I can't really describe it but it absolutely lacks the 'earthy' smell I notice in most natural beauty products. It contains various flowers but doesn't come across as overly floral either. It sounds kind of silly but the smell really makes it feel like a little luxury every time I use it. The price does seem a little steep at first but I promise, this is going to last you a long long time. I've been using it for about three months and am only half way through the jar. Check it out and let me know what you think!! Thank you Rodales for introducing me to my new favorite product!
