Behind The Brand - Hands Producing Hope

Opportunity. Dignity. Hope. These are three very important words in the Hands Producing Hope community. The women we are working with are now experiencing these things, many for the first time. The opportunity to earn a living and help provide for their family, being treated with dignity and respect, and hoping for the future as they learn that they are capable women who can dream big! What an honor it is to be part of their story and to see their confidence grow and their lives flourish.

We are an ethical fashion brand providing dignified work, educational opportunities and hope for the future to the women in our program. Through HPH, many of the women we work with have a job for the first time in their lives. They are learning life skills, are offered educational scholarships, and have a stable income! There is long term change happening within their community as more children are able to attend school, they are fed more nutritious food, and they see the example of working hard their mothers are setting for them!

The artisans in our program are located in southern Costa Rica on the Guaymi Indigenous Reservation. The program is steadily growing and we are thrilled to announce we will be starting a program in Rwanda late 2015 or early 2016.

A bit about our products

We sell hand crafted jewelry and accessories that incorporate natural and recycled materials into the designs. Many of our products are made with seeds that were collected in the rainforest by the women in our program. Not only are the seeds a sustainable and eco-friendly material to use but the offer an additional source of income for the Artisans! The ladies also craft jewelry from hand rolled paper beads made from partially or fully recycled paper. View a few products below!
