A Simple Fall Table
It's fall! The weather has finally dropped out of the 90's and I swapped sandals for boots yesterday which was really exciting. I wanted to share a simple fall tablescape you can make using things you probably already have along side a few pieces from Macy's Heart of Haiti and Path to Peace Collections.
For the centerpiece I simply filled this Rwanda Sweetgrass Basket with a few little pumpkins and ears of corn. The extra fluff is shredded packing material and the candles are leftover from another arrangement. Easy!
The Heart of Haiti Tobacco Leaf Placemats are perfect for a fall table. The natural leaf texture is a great accent piece. We used some leftover fabric we bought in Sierra Leone (that was supposed to be for pillows and then I cut it way too small and then it was a disaster) to make cloth napkins and tied them off with some leftover rope. Finally we added some little wheat stalk looking things that we bought at Whole Foods Market for the perfect mix of traditional fabrics, fall textures and materials.
So before you go to the store and buy something to adorn your table when guests come over check your drawers first and get creative!
