Holler! It's giveway time again!  Connected in Hope is a nonprofit empowering women in Ethiopia to rise above poverty through sustainable income development. They believe that the key to sustainable change, in places like Ethiopia, come through empowering women and educating kids. Through a fair trade, social enterprise model that offers income development programs in addition to a wide range of holistic services for the women and their families, Connected in Hope works with the Former Women Fuel Wood Carriers Association, a group of 70 women artisans who were once fuel wood carriers and are now weaving beautiful scarves and baskets.

One thing that I like a lot about their business model is that the weavers are paid upfront for their products and 100% of the profit from sales is reinvested in programs that benefit the women and their families. Stinking awesome.

We were going to do a tutorial on some of our favorite ways to tie scarves but seriously, you have pinterest, and ain't nobody got time for that. You can find links below for the tutorials as well as our pinterest.
