Fashion Fair: Rachel

Fashion Fair is a series of guest posts featuring style and insight from thoughtful fashion bloggers. Today I'm happy to introduce you to the stylish Rachel of My Fair Vanity.

To me, each post I make on My Fair Vanity is about thoughtful fashion. My mission is to present style that is kind to the earth and the people on it.

My dress is made by Ace + Jig (similar here), a clothing company that searched the world in order to find someone who could help them make the unique fabrics they had in mind for their line. They ended up meeting a man in India who not only had the antique hand loom they needed, but who provides free health and child care to his workers and grows organic produce for them from the recycled rainwater he collects. I'm also wearing a bangle made from sustainable mango tree wood by Mango Tree Fitted Bangles, and shoes from my favorite DC consignment store, Secondi

My readers know that even if I wear something that isn't fair trade, made in the USA, or otherwise sustainable, I will tactfully not mention it, so we won't be tempted by its siren call....and we can all be fair.
