A Thoughtful Bridal Shower
Hello! This weekend was full of fun celebrations. I got to see my stunning baby sister off to senior prom, got to celebrate with a friend at her baby shower AND I got the priviledge of hosting my best friends bridal shower! For the bridal shower, we wanted to incorporate as much thoughtfulness as we could. Parties are one of those places I tend to use a lot of cheaply made, disposable items so this event was a challenge. We attempted to recycle, borrow, make and even grow some of the elements we used for this party. Since it's wedding season we will spend the week sharing some of the little tips we learned along the way about how to host a more ethical bridal shower. Be sure to come back tomorrow and thursday to see how we did everything!
from the top:
my best friend, me and our lovely mothers. my dress is made in the USA by Pleione.
Our long and lovely table. Four eight foot tables sat 30 guests perfectly.
Homemade desserts (we'll have some yummy and ethical recipes next week!)
Fine china and flowers. Sharing more about both of these tomorrow !
DIY bunting for miles. Lots of effort but totally worth it. Tutorial this week!
All the ladies in their garden party attire. So fun to have an excuse to wear big ridiculous hats.
