Hat Hair (and our very first give-away ever!)
We don't get a lot of cold weather in Southern California so when it starts to get chilly we have to make it count! Some of our favorite cold weather goods are made by Krochet Kids International. KKi has been working in Uganda and Peru "To create sustainable economic development programs that support holistic growth of individuals and communities within developing nations". One extra little thing I love about their hats is that each hat has a tag on the inside that is signed by the woman who made it. Really cool. The excellent quality of the products, the transparency of finances and supply chains and the overall mission and values of this company make me so happy.
As a curly girl I'm often scared to wear hats out of fear that I'll look like Slash from Guns N' Roses. So I asked our talented stylist and friend Raquel (you'll be hearing more from her in the coming weeks!) to create some super easy, curl friendly looks to compliment these KKi pieces. So simple and fun!
Both pieces are avaliable online at Krochet Kids, however, I actually purchased the orange head wrap at my local Whole Foods market.
OH and by the way...
A couple weeks ago the Mr. and I drove down to Costa Mesa for the Krochet Kids sample sale and snagged some fun stuff. We left with some hats for ourselves, a couple gifts...and a little something for you. Yeah, you! This cranberry hat is the same style as the grey one our model is wearing in the photos above and I'm sure it would look lovely atop your head.
